WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT ROMANIA ?

Traveling in Romania is going back in time.

Most of the time, people have negative image of Romania. An unfair image that does not reflect the reality, because Romania is full of wealth.
In 9 months in Romania, I had chance to discover many things...

1. A generous nature : Romania contains lots of mountainous areas, forests, natural parks, lakes .. where you can still find bears and wolves. Romanians like flowers and plants : many city where you can go are full of green.
The Danube delta : one of the great deltas of Europe. This protected natural area is home to many species including pelicans. You can be tempted by a kayak ride...

2The monasteries and castles :
Fan of monastery or castel ?
Mostly in the north of the country, in Moldavia and Bucovina, you can visit a group of orthodox painted monasteries.
About castle, direction Transylvanie ! Where you have the legendary Bran castle. Legendary but many others, full of story, can amaze you. Like the Peles Castle, Hunedoara...
4. Romanian villages :
This is one of the major attractions of a trip to Romania. These villages have preserved their charm. Some of these villages are largely made of wooden houses. This is particularly the case of those of Maramures, a region in the north where this wood culture is very present.
The locals are very welcoming and generous. You can be pleasantly surprised by this great hospitality.

5. Medievals cities
Romanian cities are not very interesting to visit. Blame it on communist urbanism. However, some cities have preserved their medieval charm as Brasov, Sigishoara or Sibiu.

6. Accessible and cheap !
From the surrounding countries, you can easily and quickly reach Romania. Whether by flight, train or bus. Even the car!
The idea of a drink for 1 euro or eat for less than 10 euro should enchant more than one.

! NOROC ! 😁😁

The end.

This experience is ending, and in this seven months a lot has happened, good and bad. However, I can’t complain because if i had stayed in home i wouldn’t have learned that much about the people and the volunteering. This experience has given me a lot of situations and moments that are worth it to remember.  First of all, I have growth through some difficult moments where I have to adapt myself as for example not being able to talk with the children having  to find other ways to communicate as I explained in the first article. Other hard moments have been understanding how Romania work, missing my family and friends or living in the same flat with people you don't know and even sharing the same room. Even though all this, the positive moments overcome the bad ones.  I have find other ways of working and at the same time discover new associations where I had the opportunity to know and investigate different collectives like children with autism or refugee people. This would
